Healing of the heart can take time and special care. Learning to guard your heart i n a healthy way allows time for this to happen.  It can be scary to let yourself trust and feel again.  But we cannot grow and flourish if we are not willing to feel. It’s time….. it’s time to flourish.

I created this piece using real medical casting bandages . Wrapping up the wounded heart and during a process, started to cut away the bandage allowing the flowers to come forward. The flowers are chrysanthemums. They represent happiness, long life and joy. in my family they are a Mother’s Day flower. They remind me of the nurturing heart of a mumma.
This piece has 3D dimensions due to the plaster cast.
